My fiancee was in need of a new car, as her old vehicle was on its last leg. This was her first time ever buying a vehicle, which made the experience a little more stressful for her, so I helped her out quite a bit. We had done online research to determine what type of vehicle would be best for her before going to any dealership. We had found a CrossTrek at Eau Claire Ford, which she test drove and really enjoyed. I personally knew the sales consultant we worked with at Eau Claire Ford and could highly speak for their fair prices and quality customer service. We continued to do more research and found a newer CrossTrek CrossTrek with lower miles, but for more money at Chilson. I have never bought a car from this dealership and could not speak for their service, but we decided to check things out. While working with our sales consultant at Chilson; he was very kind, outgoing, and did a great job working with us overall. One of the owners, who also worked in the finance area, was not very outgoing, didn't seem to specifically care about my fiancee's vehicle needs, and treated her as just another customer walking through the door to take her money. She made her first car buying experience feel unimportant, more stressful, and downright negative. There was a point when my financee tried to schedule a time to come in and pick up her car, she was told by the owner that the only time should could come in was at 5 and no later. I had her call the owner back and schedule the time for 45 minutes later, and apparently then the time seemed to work for her schedule. Looking back on the whole experience, both her and I wish we would have purchased her CrossTrek at Eau Claire Ford, but seeing as most of the financial paperwork was already in place, we were left with no choice. Neither myself nor my fiancee will be giving our future car business to Chilson Subaru.

Where others will nickel and dime you and suggest random fluid changes or service that is not actually needed, Chilson is honest and truly looks out for its customers. On top of that, the quality of their service is unbeatable. I highly recommend Chilson Subaru for servicing your vehicle.

A dealership - competent and expensive. My work was a recall airbag detonater At least they did not have Fox News on in the waiting room. 3 cheers for that.
Absolutely a wonderful experience. I have never worked with a dealership that was more honest and patient with us. They even stayed late when we got stuck in traffic driving from the Twin cities. Jeff Dooley and Jeanne Chilson are a true credit to the car business. I will definitely b going back.
