My husband and I ate at Fanny Hill and had the worst meal I have ever experienced at a restaurant. The pork roast was reheated pork slices with sauces that were cold and obviously squirted on for presentation. The vegetables were reheated, previously frozen and the meal was priced in the $20 + range. To their credit, our complaints about the meal resulted in a sympathetic response from the waiter and a manager was sent to the table. The manager's response however, was less than satisfactory with a claim that our food had been prepared fresh and there was no validity to our complaint. This is a sad statement for a restaurant that claims to be a "dining destination." The caliber of performance from the dinner theatre is extremely mediocre with the same actors repeated in play after play. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone.
First visit to the restaurant to eat and see a friend's band playing. No hostess at Hostess station or a sign to seat yourself. We waited a couple of minutes and walked up to restaurant area. After waiting there a couple of minutes, Hostess appeared with a couple that came in after us and seated them. So we walked back to hostess stand a waited several more minutes for her to show up. Took a bit for Waitress to show, so we decided it was best to order our meals and drinks right away. My wife had coconut butterfly shrimp that she said was very good. I ordered the Wednesday night special of steak and shrimp, which was what I got, but not the meal show on the nightly special TV when you wait at the hostess stand. That showed a tenderloin portion and two butterfly shrimp. I recieved and sliced pieces of roast covered with gravy and 4 small breaded shrimp. Shrimp tasted like out of a store bought box, meat was tender, gravy needed to be warmer, garlic mashed potatoes were cool, and the soup that came with the meal was cool also. I will give them another chance, but they will need to step up.
Lovely atmosphere, excellent food and drinks.
This establishment CLOSED in February 2015!!
We had an incredible experience at this place! The staff was super friendly, the food was OUTSTANDING, and our wedding looked downright beautiful. This was definitely the right choice of a place to have our wedding. We are so pleased.
