Lines were too long, using coupons was frustrating, disappointed in womans size clothing, they used to be so much more classy, now it seems the look is dumpy
Great customer service Great Deals And Awesome Employees who do what they can to make your experience the best in the industry!
Tonight I was there . And I give 5 stars because of amazing employee was there she is really helpful her name is Sierra.
Had I carried a stack of clothing items to that counter, I can understand being turned away. But I had a few small items, including a necklace that was about 10 feet from the counter on a separate display. Way to embrace the holiday spirit!
Overall since the renovations at the Eau Claire store customer service has gone down and so has value. These are just two of the negative experiences I've had and that is just in the last week. If I wrote about my other bad ones we'd be reading a book. I did report incident #1 to a supervisor.
This is a long review. I am sharing two negative experiences in the last week. Please if you value your money and time shop some where else.
I wanted to purchase a few last minute items for my son's girlfriend; one of the items was a necklace. I took the items to the nearest register, which was the jewelry counter. One cashier was doing absolutely nothing but informed me that only "fine jewelry" could be rung up at the register. I set my items down and said, as I walked out of the store, "You just cost the store a sale and a customer." I called the store shortly thereafter and was informed that while fine jewelry is the first priority at that counter, the cashiers are able to ring up anyone making any purchase.
1 -I have to say this place has really gone down hill. As someone who has shopped here for years I've noticed a dramatic decrease in value and customer service. This week I was trying to do a little last minute Christmas shopping. I looked around for a while and found the perfect gift. It was a pair of earrings. The earrings were normally $80-90 but were on sale for $18.99 which is the best deal I have seen in a long time. I decided I would grab a pair of earrings for my mom and check out quick. My mom was with me so I had to be speedy. I approached the jewelry counter and asked if she could quick check me out. There was no one else at the counter, she was not doing anything, and was just standing there. I was told rudely and condescendingly by Courtney "I don't check out costume jewelry here, only FINE jewelry, you'll have to go find another place to check out." At this point I was so taken aback by her rudeness I just walked away. I tried to find another place to check out but the other two registers were swamped and I couldn't risk my mom seeing her present early so I set it down and never bought it. Lost sale and lost customer.
I am not the only one who has had complaint #1 there is a google review stating the same thing, and while I was walking away another woman was treated the same as I was at Fine Jewelry.
2- This was last week. I was looking for some baby clothes for a friend and a couple other small things for another friend. I saw younkers had some coupons out and that I'd shop around there to see what I could find. I found the baby clothes no problem, and gathered a few other items that were labeled as a percentage off but not a doorbuster or incredible value. I believe the coupon was $10 off a purchase over $20 regular and sale price or something similar to that. I specifically picked out items that fit the criteria and the exclusions. After waiting in line for nearly 20 minutes I finally reached the front of the line. Mind you the line was only 5 people long. The reason for the delay and slow movement is they were trying to sign every customer up for a Younkers Credit Card. When it was my turn the first thing the cashier said to me was. I hope you don't plan on using your coupon it wont be good on any of that stuff. I asked her what she meant and how could it not work. Apparently none of my purchases would qualify even though they fit the fine print criteria on the back. I asked her to scan it just to try and she refused. She flat out told me coupons couldn't be used on most things and the only way to get additional discounts in the store is to sign up for the younkers card. I said no thank you. She continued to push and push and that she would be so sad to see me lose and waste my money. I finally said I am a college student and do not have the extra time or money to deal with a store credit card and am not interested. I have never felt so bothered in my life, I should not have to explain my reasoning for not wanting a credit card to a stranger in public. She got real snippy with me after I refused the card. I just wanted to pay and leave at this point. Coupons printed out with my receipt and she asked if I wanted them. I told her she could keep them since they don't work on anything anyways.
Poor customer service skills are just one reason people shop online. I will not return to this store to shop, although losing my sale is of little consequence to them.
