This may be the most tucked-away park along the Eau Claire River! I certainly has the best view of Mount Simon. Bring a picnic for dinner, or a hammock to lay near the water and in the shade!

A tranquil, scenic little park, easy to miss if you're zipping up or down Old Wells Road. What it lacks in size it more than makes up for it with picturesque views of the Chippewa and the railroad bridge that spans across it. There are two park benches on opposite ends looking out onto the river with a picnic bench in the park's center, perfect for lunch with a larger crew. If you want to get a better view of the Chippewa and all it's splendor, and feeling a little daring, you can scramble out onto a cliff high about the River and let your legs dangle over the edge while enjoying a cool autumn breeze run through your hair. It's certainly one of those hidden gems worth checking out when you're in Eau Claire.
